Lost Souls Haunted Bus Tour 2018

Reviewed on: Saturday, October 5, 2018

Lost Souls Haunted Bus Tour is operated by two well-known industry vets, Japes Palles and Terry Mannix. Japes doubled his efforts for the evening and was also serving as our tour guide and narrator under the auspice of “Brewster Bonesaw.” This tour offers you not one, not two, but THREE houses with Super VIP Access which includes front of line tickets without any waiting, but also back stage access, opportunities for conversation with owners, mingling with the actors, and even a chance for a lights-on after-experience! There are only four tour nights available for 2018 and Haunted House Chicago was honored to be chosen as a host for one evening. But, this was no honorary title. Not only were we given the hosting title and credit, but actually able to help design and select the three attractions for the evening. As one could guess, our choices consisted of our top three houses over the past three years.

The chariot for the evening was none other than the Reggie’s bus which is sponsored by Reggie’s Chicago. The custom bus is covered in artistic graffiti and allowed participants to cruise and relax like a rock star in haunted luxury.

The first stop of the tour was Statesville Haunted Prison and City of the Dead. (A multiple-time “Haunted Attraction of the Year” recipient.) Upon arrival on the grounds some of Statesville’s most iconic characters immediately boarded the bus including Fluffy and Bain! Patrons were greeted by Statesville ownership and immediately whisked away into the hell of the dog cage. As expected Statesville delivered a top-notch performance and started our night off with a shotgun start!

While in-transit patrons were treated to entertainment and musings by Brewster, trivia contests, with a plethora of prizes and giveaways!

The second stop was Basement of the Dead and Shattered 3D. (“Haunted Attraction of the Year” recipient in 2008 and 2016.) As guests waited their turn to enter into the dank darkness, they were treated to the party atmosphere complete with dancing, more giveaways, and an amazing DJ! The prizes continued as they were hosted by Basement’s very own Sugar Daddy!

Victims attempted to catch their breath as they ran to the bus to escape the creatures of the Basement!

After another round of prizes, contests, giveaways, and fun (and maybe a drink or two), the “Lost Souliens” finally arrived at the final stop of the night, Evil Intentions Haunted House!

Last year’s “Haunted Attraction of the Year” escorted guests immediately into their coffin-factory labyrinth for a show that would live in the memories (and nightmares) of guests for years to come! After the regular tour, patrons were treated to a lights-on tour hosted by Francois (Brock), Linus (Tyler), and Nicole, three of the managers behind the mayhem at Evil Intentions.

Now, on a normal evening, that would be certainly be a full plate. BUT, the fun was not over quite yet!

Immediately following the backstage tour, Lost Souls patrons were treated to a fully-catered dinner complete with adult beverages courtesy of your very own Haunted House Chicago!

The fellowship, conversation, and good times raged through the night until 3AM!

Overall, we were very excited and honored to have had the opportunity to host such a wonderfully executed experience and meet so many amazing people who love haunted attractions. We can’t wait to see if the opportunity will once again arise in 2019!

Monsters of Note: Our ghost host with the most, Brewster Bonesaw!

Bottom Line: This is THE best opportunity to experience the top haunted attractions in the Chicagoland market! Not only are you chauffeured from haunt to haunt and given the ability to drink and relax, but you have the chance to win copious prizes and mingle with some of the great minds in the business. Combine that with the Super VIP ticket that gives you immediate access, makes this truly the best value and bang for your buck – period.  If you didn’t get a chance to check it out this year, make sure to keep your eyes peeled in 2019!
