Haunted Trails’ Amusement Park is a perfect example of a location that brings the joy of “haunted” entertainment year-round. This wonderful attraction is celebrating their 21st anniversary of bringing a “deadicated” haunted attraction to town, to spread chills and thrills to their patrons.
This location brings family fun and haunted entertainment and will give your family an entire evening of excitement. Guests can play mini-golf on their spooked-out 18-hole course, ride a few go-karts, and play a few games in their large game room. As long as they save room for dessert - the October-only haunted house, "Frightmare". This haunted house is designed for the whole family, so you can expect a ton of classic scares, but without any blood or gore.
Once again this season, we had the pleasure of bringing one of our review team member’s little brother with us. Lucas is now a 12-year old boy, with unlimited energy, and even crazier about Halloween. We at Haunted House Chicago figured that since this is a family attraction, with a house designed to entertain all-ages, why not bring someone who can give us feedback from their target audience?
This year’s theme, "Resurrection Manor" took us deep into the rooms of a twisted house, with many thrills and chills throughout. From the kitchen to the mirror maze, every room was well detailed, and the actors that ran them, definitely were spot on in their attacks!
One of the rooms we enjoyed the most was that of the toy room. With hundreds of stuffed animals all over the walls and floor, you definitely are in for quite a surprise as you walk through! It definitely made our entire team - both young and old - jump a couple feet into the air!
This attraction is actually, two different levels! It makes this house feel like a funhouse and adds a classic carnival feeling as well.
Even though it’s not the most intense house on the block, it is absolutely one of the most fun! If you are looking for an entire night of October Halloween fun for the whole family, look no further than Haunted Trails Amusement Park.
Highlights we scream about: The toy room, the kitchen, and the mirror maze!
What to expect for 2014? Without a doubt, we know that Frightmare will come up with another great attraction for 2014 filled with many family friendly thrills and chills!
