****Official Haunted House Chicago Review**** The Niles Scream Park is one of those hidden gems that people usually tell each other by word of mouth. At first glance, Chicagoland-residents might be turned off when they see the state abbreviation of “MI” after the city. It immediately brings thoughts of a lengthy road trip. But alas, this world of fun is only right over the Indiana-Michigan border and about an hour-and-forty-five minutes away. Worth the trip? In one word: definitely. Niles Scream Park has something for everyone. From their un-bloodied haunted houses, to their movie studio-style hayride, to their carnival of games and goodies, the entire group will be entertained easily for the entire night. The main haunted house is quite a sight to see. With 7 different starting paths and 48+ rooms, this is not your typical straight-shot. While it isn’t heavily actor based, it is decorated and the scares come quick and often. There are two side houses that offer the same style of shocks and are definitely worth every step taken. Easily of the most well-known attractions at this park is the hayride. This is a must-see and really, quite possibly, the only one in the Midwest of this caliber! (How many attractions do you know of that use fire, yes REAL fire, in their haunted house?) Finishing off the evening, we fought our way through the Field of Screams. Once just a maze, this attraction has been renovated and upgraded to feature several new sections beyond the original attraction. One could easily get lost in here for a while, but we were lucky we had some help… Overall, Niles Scream Park is an incredible value! At only $25 per person for 6 full, complete attractions and approximately 2-1/2 hours of entertainment, how can you go wrong? Not to mention, it is appropriate for the entire family! So, if you are looking for an entire evening of howling good fun, then set your sights on Niles Scream Park!
