13th Floor Chicago & Amazon Original Series #LORE to Bring Friday the 13th Thrills to Local Horror Fans
Melrose Park, IL – Amazon Prime Video and 13th Floor Chicago http://13thfloorchicago.com are bringing a special sneak preview of the new Amazon Original Series Lore www.amazon.com/lore to local attendees. Based on the award-winning podcast of the same name, Lore is being brought to the screen in part by an executive producer of The Walking Dead and an executive producer of The X-Files. Select members of the 13th Floor Chicago fan club will get the opportunity to take part in a special sneak preview of the new series inside 13th Floor Chicago on Friday, October 13th at 6:00 p.m.
General Manager of 13th Floor Chicago, Bryan Kopp, says those invited to the exclusive screening will experience Friday the 13th like never before. “13thFloor Chicago is one of six haunted houses in the country that was selected for this screening with Amazon Prime Video,” Kopp says. “We’re looking forward to bringing some of our most die-hard fans a little more terror this Friday the 13th, and we know this is something they’re really going to enjoy
Lore, based on the popular podcast of the same name that has an average of five million monthly listens, is an anthology series that presents the frightening and often disturbing tales based on real people and events that have led to our modern-day myths and legends. Launched in March 2015 by Aaron Mahnke, the podcast Lore has generated a massive audience, was named “Best of” in 2015 and 2016 by Apple, and was listed as one of the “15 podcasts you need to hear in 2016” by Entertainment Weekly.
“We’re excited to be bringing Lore to the screen, both in people’s homes and at 13th Floor Chicago,” said Conrad Riggs, Head of Unscripted, Amazon Originals. “The stories are riveting and something that true horror fans will really be able to tap into, so we felt this was a perfect collaboration.”
